Longbranch Cafe charged with withholding wages, ideas in federal lawsuit

CARBONDALE, Unwell. (WSIL) – The Longbranch Cafe & Bakery in Carbondale is accused of violating a number of federal labor legal guidelines, in a lawsuit filed by the US Secretary of Labor.

The lawsuit, filed Jan. 15, accuses Longbranch and her supervisor Elaine Ramseyer Greenberg of withholding wages and failing to “ set up, maintain and maintain ” worker information, hours and different situations.

The criticism alleges that Longbranch paid its employees lower than the federal minimal wage of $ 7.25 and misdistributed a share of ideas earned by baristas and waiters to cooks and dishwashers who don’t recurrently obtain ideas.
